Japan’s First Sacred Hot Spring “Kinsen”
Known for its reddish-brown cloudy water, this hot spring is one of Japan’s Three Great and Oldest Hot Springs.
It contains 7 out of 9 officially designated therapeutic components, making it a rare spring globally due to its complex mineral mix. The water is clear upon emergence, but turns golden as the iron oxidizes upon contact with air.
Spring Quality:
High-salinity, high-temperature sodium chloride spring with iron content
Benefits:
Relieves neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, frozen shoulder, motor paralysis, joint stiffness, bruises, sprains, sensitivity to cold, post-illness recovery, fatigue, promotes health, alleviates high blood pressure and arteriosclerosis, helps with cuts and burns
Radon Spring “Ginsen”
A second type of hot spring in Arima, known for its clear and colorless water.
Rich in radon, known to boost metabolism and enhance natural healing power, and carbon dioxide, which improves blood flow by dilating capillaries. Its low mineral concentration makes it easily absorbed by the body, giving the water a light, smooth texture.
Our premium panoramic bath was renovated in summer 2018, with careful attention to decor and spring quality.
The indoor bath features the sacred “Kinsen” spring, while the open-air bath, made of Izu stone and cypress, is filled with the radon-rich “Ginsen” .
Enjoy a luxurious moment while soaking in both of Arima’s famous hot springs with a sweeping view of the area.
