About Our Inn

When was the inn established?

The inn was founded in 1956 when the previous owner purchased a former villa and opened a five-room ryokan.
After several renovations and expansions, it was relaunched in July 1993 as “Takayamaso Hanano”.
Between 2021 and 2025, five of the 15 rooms were renovated into hot spring suites.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and check-out is between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

Are there rooms with beds?

We have six rooms equipped with beds:
  • Suite “Ōyamarenge” (Japanese-Western) – 2 semi-double beds
  • Suite “Sanshuyu” (Western) – 2 semi-double beds
  • Suite “Futaba Aoi” (Japanese-Western) – 2 semi-double beds
  • Suite “Yamabōshi” (Western) – 2 semi-double beds
  • Suite “Hakkakuren” (Western) – 1 queen-size bed
  • Japanese-style room – 2 single beds
All other rooms are traditional Japanese-style. Please see our room guide for more details.

Is it possible to stay alone?

Depending on the day, such as weekdays, solo stays are accepted.
Please contact us for details.

Do you have non-smoking rooms?

All areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and dining areas, are non-smoking.

Are children allowed?

We are sorry, but we do not accept guests who are elementary school age (12 years old) or younger.
We appreciate your understanding.

Is the facility accessible by wheelchair?

We are sorry, but our facility is not barrier-free.
We will assist as much as possible, but there are about 20 stone steps from the parking lot to the lobby, and about 20 steps to the public bath.
We kindly ask guests with walking difficulties to consider this in advance

Are there any special perks for celebrations?

We will present you with a celebratory card from our inn.
We can also arrange special orders such as a 12cm whole cake (¥3,850 including tax).

About Meals

Where are meals served?

Both dinner and breakfast are served either at the restaurant Shikitei or in a private room at the dining space Yuzan.

What time are dinner and breakfast?

Meal times are as follows:
Dinner 18:00 / 18:30 / 19:00
Breakfast 8:00 / 8:30 / 9:00
*Please note that your preferred time may not be available depending on the day.

What kind of meals are served?

Both dinner and breakfast are Japanese-style meals.
The concept is "nourishing cuisine" using local vegetables, fresh seafood, and premium wagyu beef.
Our seasonal Kaiseki course offers a colorful and well-balanced menu that delights the eyes and palate.
Each dish is freshly prepared.
Breakfast includes traditional yuba (tofu skin).

Are there dishes available outside the course menu?

We also offer special order dishes. Please refer to the menu.

Can we bring our own drinks?

A corkage fee of ¥2,200 (incl. tax) per bottle will be charged.

About Bathing

Do you have private baths?

We’re sorry, but we do not have private baths.
If you arrive early, you can enjoy our large public baths at a leisurely pace.

Are the baths in the guest rooms hot springs?

In the suites “Daisenrenge” and “Sanshuyu”, you can enjoy both Kinsen and Ginsen hot springs. In “Yamahōshi”, “Hakkakuren”, and “Futaba Aoi”, Ginsen is available.
Standard rooms do not have hot springs, so please use the large public bath.
Our large bath “Hoshi-no-Yu” offers Kinsen indoors and Ginsen outdoors.

Do you have guest rooms with open-air baths?

We’re sorry, but none of the rooms have open-air baths. However, we do have rooms with baths offering views of the Arima townscape.

About Access

How long does it take to walk from the station or bus stop?

  • Approx. 10 minutes on foot from Kobe Dentetsu Arima Onsen Station.
  • Approx. 8 minutes on foot from the bus stop.
If you call us upon arrival, we will pick you up by car.
Shuttle service available from 14:30 to 18:00.

Do you have parking?

We have 12 free parking spaces in front of the inn. As spaces are limited, please reserve in advance.
Available from 15:00 to 11:00 the next day.
If full, we will shuttle you to a nearby parking lot.

Can I park before check-in if I arrive early?

If you let us know when booking, we can accept your car from 14:00 before check-in.

Can I use a credit card?

The following credit cards are accepted for payment at our inn:

What time is payment available from?

Payment is available anytime between 9:00 and 21:00.
If you plan to leave early, please settle your bill by 21:00 the day before.
